What’s In Store for Water Docs
We want to let our wonderful readers and supporters know that there is lots going on behind the scenes at Water Docs.
As you read this we are hard at work on a rebranding project as part of our Water Docs 10th Anniversary Celebration. We'll share more about this soon as the project gets more firmly underway.
We are also very busy planning our 10th Anniversary Film Festival (Woohoo!) which will take place sometime in the Fall of 2021. As this is such a huge milestone for our festival we are in the midst of planning and organizing our biggest event to date and we can't wait to share it with you!
On top of that, we are in the early stages of establishing new partnerships that will help us increase our commitment to climate action, as well as address biases we hold as an organization. We are working on becoming more cognizant of the intersectionality of how we operate and what we produce as an organization.
All that to say this is an exciting time for Water Docs and we hope you'll stay with us for this journey. Stay tuned and be the first to know about the developments we are making!
Be safe and take care,
The Water Docs Team

“If you dont like the way the world is, you change it... one step at a time.””
Every time I enter the ocean, it shows me something beautiful and unexpected. I’m looking for sharks, and a fin whale surfaces, breath bursting into fine mist. Sea lion pups encourage me to play, spinning in the water, swimming fast then turning on a dime and blowing bubbles. Floating at the surface, a comb jelly mesmerises me with rainbow bands of bioluminescence.
