Photo Contest 2022

_____________________________

This year’s contest asked our followers to stop and think about how climate change has touched their life by capturing it in a photo.

Congratulations to our three top winners as chosen by you, our viewers and supporters…

We hope our photo contests inspire our audiences, activists, and artists to continue celebrating and protecting both water and earth’s climate.

FIRST PLACE:
Tyler Yantzi
”My three sons, collecting maple sap by windsurf board, in a flooded forest, in late February. This is becoming an increasingly common way to harvest our sap in a climate marked by increasingly erratic weather patterns. Also, notice the dead ash trees tipped at 45 degrees in the background. Another harbinger of climate change as the Emerald Ash Borer spreads further north in a warming climate.”

SECOND PLACE:
Stephannie Alexandra Guajardo
“Water... unflavoured, so clear, so simple, but indispensable. The source of the life.”

THIRD PLACE:
Ivor Levin
”Branch manager.”

DRAW WINNER

1st Prize:
$500 Visa Vanilla Gift Card
