Water Docs Film Festival
Mark your calendars for MARCH 21-25, 2018
Starting on World Water Day
The 2017 Water Docs Film Festival is a wrap, but if you missed it, you can always check out some of the highlights right here.
The 2017 festival was a fascinating program of films on issues facing global and local water systems. After each screening there were lively Q&A sessions with filmmakers, activists, artists and other related speakers. If you missed us this year, make sure to stay in touch and we look forward to seeing you next March!
Here's a composite trailer from the films we showed at the 6th annual Water Docs Film Festival in March 2017. For trailers of many of the films, see the festival schedule.
A huge THANK YOU to all of our great volunteers, partners, donors and supporters who all helped to make the film festival possible!
Calling Grade 8 teachers ....
Please share this exciting program with friends & educators.
WATER DOCS @ SCHOOL ACTION PROJECTS is a 7-month learning and action program for Ontario Grade 8 students, delivered through our partnership with Learning for a Sustainable Future (LSF).
The program, lauded by educators, promotes student exploration and understanding of local water issues by combining inquiry-based, hands-on learning with action projects and filmmaking. The compelling format sparks student enthusiasm and creativity as they go on a 7-month journey to protect the Great Lakes watershed through work in their own community.
Here's a brochure for the program, including how to register. Webinars will be coming soon to answer your questions.
