The Water Docs Film Festival is back!
In addition to our current Water Docs suite of programs, in 2023, with your help, we will expand our programming to include a new project called #LaterNoMore: Activating Climate Solutions Now! that will teach our youth and the general public about positive climate change solutions… motivating people to take the necessary actions now for the sake of our planet and our future generations.
We could really use your support to deliver this project on four unique platforms:
#LaterNoMore: Water Docs Film Festival
#LaterNoMore: Lesson Plans for Students
#LaterNoMore: Community Town Hall Meetings
#LaterNoMore: Interactive Website
““The climate crisis has already been solved. We already have the facts and solutions. All we have to do is wake up and change.””
WATER DOCS PROGRAMS
Water Docs is evolving its programming. After 10 years of producing the Water Docs Film Festival, our team is now developing an exciting new project called the #LaterNoMore: Activating Climate Solutions Now! campaign.
Water is the primary medium through which we will feel the effects of climate change. Unpredictable water availability, flooding, exacerbating water scarcity and contaminated water are all threatening factors causing concern about the kind of world the next generation will inherit as well as our ability to mitigate the increasing impacts. Climate change is a complex global issue that will continue to have a growing impact on communities, businesses, and the economy into the future.
It will require significant effort to transition successfully to a low-carbon society. We all have a role to play – individuals, families, governments, financial institutions, businesses, industries, schools, and faith communities – in accelerating and scaling up climate change solutions.
#LATERNOMORE
Simultaneously, we continue to deliver great programming through our Water Docs at School and Water Docs Where You Live programs. Dive a little deeper and read about who we are, what we do and how we do it.
A multi-year campaign to promote climate solutions, shape public opinion and accelerate action to create a carbon neutral environment for future generations.
This extraordinary school program teaches thousands of kids about water and climate using a unique, hands-on approach, instilling a passion for water stewardship.
Take action and make waves for water and climate protection in your community by hosting your own online community film screening.
Water & Climate Stories
Milenyo: When the Night Came Early
A Personal Story of Climate Change by Zosimo Gamba
The whole morning was bright and sunny. Sorsogon City in southern Luzon, Philippines was abuzz with the usual city-life activities. Jeepneys plying the streets were overflowing with passengers coming from and going to the outlying towns. The skies were covered with high, off-white clouds; the heat of the sun enveloping the city made my skin clammy. The wind had stopped but I felt the cool air under the single tree in the pocket garden on my way out of my nephew’s boarding house.

WATER DOCS’ MISSION
To evoke a spirit of reverence for water and a liveable climate.
To inform about threats that imperil water and a liveable climate.
To inspire citizen action to protect water and a liveable climate.
Every time I enter the ocean, it shows me something beautiful and unexpected. I’m looking for sharks, and a fin whale surfaces, breath bursting into fine mist. Sea lion pups encourage me to play, spinning in the water, swimming fast then turning on a dime and blowing bubbles. Floating at the surface, a comb jelly mesmerises me with rainbow bands of bioluminescence.
